- we read some short paragraphs and did power points on them talking about diction
- I helped make a slide explaining how the author used apostrophe (repetition)
- We worked in a group on the power point
- I liked working together on the power point. It helped me better understand what diction is

Individual Diction Assignment

1. I understand diction to be the way authors use words to get their points across. They use things like repetition and figurative language to add more depth to their work.
2. I think I understand it. There may be some forms of diction that I am still a bit sketchy on.

- we read some more poems like usual.
- we did a work sheet thing on a poem and discussed it in class.
- I expressed my thoughts on said poem.
- I like how we continue to wo0rk in groups. It makes learning poetry easier and less boring.

- We read a bunch of poems again
- We got in groups and discussed how we felt about said poems as a group
- I expressed my feelings on how I felt about my favorite lines of one of the poems
- I really like working in groups. I think that should keep happening.

- we also dicussed the poems in class
- I like it when we get the opportunity to stand up and stretch
- I didn't contibute much last week, but I was attentive for the most part

- Lat week we worked in groups on making up our own multiple choice questions for all of the short stories we have read.
- I made the questions for the story about the parrot in my group.
- We learned how multiple choice questions are configured.
- I liked having the opportunity to work in groups again. It keeps the class interesting.
