October 10

- This week we had some time to read the play. We also worked on our character journals for the paly.
- The class had some discussion on the play and we worked together with a partner to take on the character of one of the characters and explain another character from the play.
- I helped come up with the information to present in my group. I said that walter seemed like a pretty grumpy guy and all he really cared about was his liquor store.
- I like the idea of working in groups. It helps me learn things better.

Chicago

Living in a neighborhood of Chicago in the 1950s probably wouldn't be as fun as it is to live where I'm living now. My dad would be working real hard to make all the money he could, if he could even get a job that is, and he would probably be gone most of the day working. Mom would be in the kitchen. Where she belongs. I doubt she would be doing any work besides making sandwhiches for the family. We definately wouldn't let her drive. Just make food. We would be poor and days would be long and there wouldn't be a hole lot to look forward to everyday. There would most likely be a lot of segregation as well. I'm sure I would find some friends to hang out with in a run down house though. It would be a good time.
