Chicago

Living in a neighborhood of Chicago in the 1950s probably wouldn't be as fun as it is to live where I'm living now. My dad would be working real hard to make all the money he could, if he could even get a job that is, and he would probably be gone most of the day working. Mom would be in the kitchen. Where she belongs. I doubt she would be doing any work besides making sandwhiches for the family. We definately wouldn't let her drive. Just make food. We would be poor and days would be long and there wouldn't be a hole lot to look forward to everyday. There would most likely be a lot of segregation as well. I'm sure I would find some friends to hang out with in a run down house though. It would be a good time.

For analysis and on style questions

For Analysis
4. I don't think he was as inarticulate as a husband. I mean obviously he could at least talk in human form. He may have been a little paranoid yes but he had good reasons to be. With his wife bringing up the names of other men constantly and giving other men googly eyes and such I might be a little paranoid too.
5. I don't think the parrot's vocabulary is enough to express how he really feels. Besides the cracker. That one works pretty well. But other than that he has no real way of communicating how he feels.
On Style
1. One word would be love because he would be able to at least tell his wife he loved her. Another word would be stop. That way he could squak it as loud as he needs t when his wife is about to do the nasty nasty. And the last word would be go away. That way he could get the kind gentlemen that always showed up to his house to go away.
2. This line described the feelings the parrot was having. It kind of gave you the feeling that the parrot did not like what he was seeing. It happens.

Biblical Allusion

1. I got this cartoon from http://www.inkcinct.com.au/web-pages/global/global-economic/2009--global-economic.htm.

2. This cartoon is referring to David and Goliath. David being your every day American and Goliath being their debt.

3. This is from 1st Samuel in the Bible.

4. David had to face Golaith even though he was much smaller and weeker than him. He was still able to take his enemy down though. This cartoon implies that our debt is our enemy that is bigger than us but we can still take it overcome it if we trust God.
